Why Can I Only Use a NEMA 5-15 Power Cord in the USA?

Ralph Bright, Vice President of Marketing at Interpower Group of Companies, has a really great answer for one of the commonly asked questions he received: “Why can’t I use a NEMA 5-15 power cord in other countries?”. Bob goes on to explain that the NEMA 5-15 power Cord was created by NEMA, the National Electrical Manufacturers Association, for North American use only.
